I’m going to a big family reunion this July in Ontario…there should be about 80 of us, from my mother’s side…I can’t wait! I missed the last one, 16 years ago, because I was building my own family, about to give birth to my first son.
Families are about love and laughter, struggle and forgiveness, individuals and relationships.
You start out simply as people, and then you have experiences together, layers of emotions, joyous memories, family dinners, and the family grows adding more layers, dimensions, colors, and lines
and obstacles, and sometimes divisions and separations, darker periods, difficult growing pains
but there is always togetherness, Sunday dinners, birthday celebrations, new relationships… and the family grows
with layers of light, happiness, mixtures of cultures, shadows of things past, new beginnings
and before you know it you have created an incredible beautiful blossoming colorful family tree!
What does your family tree look like?
